OLD RECIPE BOOKS
TOMORROW, Tuesday April 29th at 9AM Pacific/Noon Eastern/4PM GMT.
In tomorrow’s Zoom meetup we’ll be talking about old recipe books, their history and why they have such meaning for us. The Zoom link will be sent to paid subscribers one hour before we meet tomorrow April 29th.
Bring your oldest recipe book which could be…
the oldest recipe book you own,
the earliest published recipe book on your shelf,
or an old recipe book that has special meaning for you.
TOMORROW, Tuesday April 29th at 9AM Pacific/Noon Eastern/4PM GMT.
For those who can’t make it, the session will be recorded and posted on the Videos Page.
I’m excited to share another lovely time with you TOMORROW, Tuesday April 29th at 9AM Pacific/Noon Eastern/4PM GMT.
P.S. Don’t forget to bring a mug of coffee or spot of tea, too!

Such a great idea, Kate! Unfortunately I’m on the road and not near enough to peruse my cookbook collection and probably can’t join the zoom meeting, much as I’d like to. But here’s what I remember:
I think I purchased my first cookbook when I was first living on my own while attending college. It was a paperback edition of the All New Fanny Farmer Boston Cooking School Cookbook. It was a paperback edition and I was living in an apartment in Waltham, Massachusetts trying to figure out how to feed myself. I think the first thing I looked up was how to hard boil an egg! I don’t have the book anymore—I believe it fell apart years ago—but now I’m going to have to order a used copy!
Sounds so good! But, I'll be at work. I think, probably, Better Homes and Gardens, circa 1940... dark green cover, petit-four pictures in fly leaves. Love it!
Moosewood isn't nearly as old, but still a favorite.
Do you record it? It would be great to see them all. Have fun.
