Thanks for the recipe, Kate! I love making soup - so many people say it's difficult to make, but it really isn't, and homemade is so much more delicious than store bought. Even though southern California is mostly dry now, I enjoy the occasional winter rains. They bring a coziness with them as I curl up on the sofa with a book, throw a velvety grey blanket over me and smile as my calico cat, Scout, curls up on the blanket with me.

It's a toss up for me between the green stuff and the smokey stuff. I trade out. (both Tabasco brands)
