Hi Kate! Haven’t responded to your email…been a bit preoccupied! I’m in California now, visiting students and families and friends. But, on a yummy note, I had a fantastic dinner at a local Japanese restaurant. Had a great sukiyaki but, before that, had Garlic Edamame. OMG - SO delicious! Have you ever had it?

Hi back to you Deb! I’ve had edamame but don’t recall having specifically garlic edamame. Might you have a recipe? Love to give it a try. 😊

I found a recipe on the web that matches the garlic edamame I had. Sadly, CA restaurants are not always willing to share recipes, but I’ve had this a few times and it reads right. Let me know if you make it! Here’s the link…

I love your video! Please do more! The colors in your dress made me smile, they are some of my favorites.

We adore garlic! I'd love to plant some, but I'd have to have my husband care for it and he has 10 black thumbs! ROFLMAO!!!

For warm weather garlic, I was reading that the softneck varieties do better in the heat. The cloves go in the fridge for 6 to 12 weeks before planting to simulate "winter" for the bulbs.

ps.. the heat index is supposed to be 112 in Central Florida later today.

Thank you our garlic guru. I tried my garlic this year in my raised beds and although I didn’t get the quantity the quality was much better and oh so easier to harvest. Wouldn’t work for 200 heads though. Do you think your garlic could be Music?

It’s possible. It’s big and red! Mine were better this year as I gave them plenty of room and watered more rather than relying just on Nature’s showers.

So sorry I missed the live video but it was great to learn how easy it is to grow garlic. The garlic available at my grocery store has been horrible so I would like to grow my own.

Kate you are such a source of inspiration and just good old fun. Thank you

Lovely to see you, Kate, and that's very useful! Good to know exactly how to do this. I fancy myself doing intricate garlic braids, but I'm betting that won't happen! 😂 Your garlic looks fab!

I'm sorry I missed the live talk, but this was wonderful. I just got some garlic from the community garden I'm in and didn't know how to cure them. This was right on time.
