Kate, wishing you all the best with your surgery and I love your ‘outlook’ on this and all things! Can’t wait to see the fresh paint on pie cottage! Hugs 🤗
Be careful when you open the refrigerator for the first time after surgery. I can still remember the "blinding" bright white of the inside. Oh what beauty I had been missing.

After wearing heavy glasses most of my life, I have NO GLASSES after my cataract surgeries!! I'm thrilled beyond measure. And I had "special" eyes that had to be researched before the surgeries were done as I had Radial Keratotomy in both eyes back in the late 70's.
What blew me away the most was the COLORS! After you have one eye done and are waiting for the second, close each eye and look around you. For me, the cataracts turned everything "yellow". I was astounded to see how "yellow" whites had become. It was so apparent when you can still look through the non-surgical eye.
You won't regret the cataract surgery at all. Longest time it takes is the anesthesizing and waking up of your eye muscles before and after. You will wake up to total wonder. Go Kate!
I commiserate with your feelings about eye surgery. I received two injections every 4-6 weeks in my left eye for a torn retina. I was terrified at the first appointment, but, like you, gained confidence in the doctor and was grateful that there was a treatment for the problem. I will hold all good thoughts for you as you go through the process of gaining better vision!
Cataract surgery is so worth it! I did it 4 years ago over two months. It's amazing how much better I could see immediately. And I stopped needing contacts. I still need reading glasses. I hope you have a great outcome.
Best wishes for successful surgery. Friends who have had the surgery say the difference in their before and after surgery is amazing. It’s a whole new world ! Good luck.
Kate, an 80 year old I know, who's terrified of all things medical, was thrilled with her cataract surgery. Not at all bothersome, she said, and the results were great! Hope that helps! ❤️
#165: June is Busting Out All Over
Best wishes for a speedy recovery, and have fun with the eye drop schedule!
Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
Good luck with the cataract surgery! I may have to get that in the next year or so, I will be curious to know how it goes. Love and hugs to you, Kate.
Best wishes for your eye surgery. You will see things in a new light afterwards!
As John Dever would say "Far Out!"

Good luck with the surgery! That is a scrumptious looking bowl of raspberries.
