Your Sunday morning message - a wonderful addition to my already special morning. I too awoke early, started a fire, lite my candles, enjoyed my decaf coffee and said my prayers. On my way to town for church was gifted with that beautiful sunrise you shared!
I love your writing Kate, your descriptions so vivid, as if I’m right there with your starting the fire and feeding the chicks. I too love early mornings in the Pacific Northwest, and thanks to a new puppy, my mornings are even earlier now. “The Nightingale” was beautiful, well written historical fiction. Kristin Hannah is one of my favorite authors, you can’t go wrong with her books.
#60: EARLY MORNING WINTER
So peaceful! I loved your individual descriptions of the sky.
Thank you, Kate. I enjoyed your story so much that I didn't even notice your shout-out to my Substack, Finding Home. So very kind of you! xo

Magical. Early morning is my favorite time of day. Thank you for taking me along on yours! You showed it beautifully.
What a lovely picture your words paint. I hope you enjoy The Nightingale. It is one of my favorite recently read books.
Beautiful! The magic of the morning when the world is still sleeping. My favorite time of day…peace
How truly cozy! I can see your fire in the wood stove and feel it. Especially love the description of the chickens 😊
This is gorgeous, Kate! It’s 5:30 am here in Chicago and it was so wonderful reading this now, at this hour.
