I haven’t done a gift guide for years but since a few of you have asked about my favorite baking and cooking gear AND as Mother’s Day is nigh upon us, you might find an idea or two for Mom here.¹

Pie Pans

• Yes, any pie pan will work…ceramic, glass, metal, disposable aluminum but I do have a favorite. My 9” deep dish Emile Henry ceramic pans have been in service for over 20 years and are still going strong. Yes, they are more pricey than glass, metal or aluminum, but when EH says that these can go directly from freezer to oven, they are telling the truth. I’ve never had one shatter. They are a worthy investment.

  

• For a glass pan, I suggest the OXO Good Grips and it comes with a lid, too.

• Bench Scraper

  I use this handy dandy tool for more than just scraping dough off the counters. It’s great for dividing dough and chopping fruits & veggies plus it has quarter inch markings along the edge.

  

• Magnetic Measuring Spoons

  So colorful and bright. They can nest together or stick them on your fridge or a magnet strip in your kitchen.

  

• Fletchers’ Mill French Rolling Pin

  I have been using and teaching with these for decades. I love the control I get with this pin.

  

• KitchenAid Stand Mixer

  I have several sizes but the one I go to the most is the smaller tilt head mixer.

  

• Instant Pot

  Never thought I would be a fan of this gizmo but I was sure proved wrong after I tried one!

  

• Flour Sack Tea Towels

  One can never have too many of these. They come in colors, too.

  

• Le Creuset 5 qt Dutch Oven

  It’s a classic.

  

• Ball Jars Vintage Rose

  I love the rose color.

  

• S’well Stainless Steel Water Bottle

  My favorite water bottle of all time. Double walled so it keeps things cold all day long.

  

• Oven Liners

  I place oven liners on the lowest racks of my ovens to catch drips. They make clean up super easy.

  

• Table and 2 Chair Bistro Set

  Join Mom on the deck for une café noisette or a bit of wine.

  

• USA Bakes Bread Loaf Pans

  I upgraded to these pans and am so glad I did.
