He’s a fine teacher and, since your class on Sunday, we’ve had some conversations together about a virtual series he would do. Not only is he a tremendous baker, he’s a very very good cook, too.
Hi Kate! Oh my goodness! I'm *so* sorry for your terrible pain! It was heartbreaking reading this! I admire your tenacity for life, you're such and inspiration. Duncan, what a hero of the story and a fine man. He definitely looks like he's in his natural element and loving every minute of it! Sending a giant hug from up the street:)
Darn these backs of ours! I just went through a couple of hellish years of back pain, until I insisted on an MRI and they found several burst fractures the x ray had missed and just 4 weeks ago today I got cement in 3 vertebrae. Shocking thing was the pain was gone the very first night. I wish you luck on finding out why your back is troubling you and that it heals well soon. It is SO hard to function when one has back pain. So incredibly cool your son could step in and not only help but do his first online show!
I'm really surprised the chiropractic adjustment didn't help. I say this as someone who has had lifelong back issues and a laminectomy for spinal stenosis. Treatments kept me from having surgery for many years.
Back issues are very frustrating and frightening. We can't function without using our backs. With your permission, I will include you in my meditation for light and healing.
Yes, they really did! He did a fine job and is going to help out with Monday's in person Art of the Pie Day Camp, too. How did I get so lucky? I'm feeling a little better tonight and hoping I'll have another good sleep as I know that's important in healing, too.
Your back pain sounds excruciating and I know it can seriously disrupt your sleep. I have a zero gravity setting on my adjustable bed and it works wonders. Positive healing thoughts to you and congratulations to Duncan!
There are some wonderful things like acupuncture you can do. I also find that massage really helps my back (which goes into spasm quite often,) as well as my neck (several of the vertebrae in my neck have no cartilage any more. I used to really suffer from that, but a monthly massage has eased that up so that I have back full range of motion, which is great.
Hope you feel better Kate. I attended Duncan’s class and he was great!

Let’s us know if he decides to go virtual!
You can count on it. What do you think of a “Dinner with Duncan”series where we make supper together?
What a good idea! I’m always looking for new ideas for supper.
So great to hear your feedback!

Please take good care of your self and listen well to your body. Duncan has your smile and your great heart - of course he's a mensch!
I’ll do my best to listen to what my body is trying to tell me.
Hope you heal soon and don’t overdo!
Roger that, Joyce!
Kate, I'm so sorry, and D and O are indeed heroes.
Indeed, they are.

See you on Monday!
Looking forward to it. You may meet Duncan, too!
Back pain is the worst! Don’t try to do too much too soon. Take it easy. I love Ireland! I’ll be looking for the book and give it a try.
As an overachiever, Linda, I guess my next job is to overachieve at rest and healing!
"Overachieve at rest and healing" - that sounds like an excellent - and, no joke, challenging - goal. I hope you fully embrace it, and enjoy the book!
Doing my best!
