I remember the S&H green stamps well. Wasn’t there a catalog store? Or something like that to redeem the stamps.

Reading Hidden Mountains : our friends son wrote it, wow is all I can say.

And yes, there were catalogue stores.

I just put Hidden Mountains on reserve at my library. Thank you for the recommendation, Martha!

I remember those green S & H stamps. Have a book of them somewhere around here. Fun to go down memory lane with you on the subject. I remember it was my job to lick and stick them into place. I worked oh-so-carefully, to put them perfectly in their places. I too wish I could redeem those old stamps for a better environment for our planet and its inhabitants.

Licking them was pretty yucky as I recall. I switched to a glass of water and a cloth. I feel that improving the environment and healing for our planet is the most important agenda there is.

I filled in the green stamps books! I remember pouring over the catalogue, too! If it was only that easy to fix our planet by redeeming stamp books. I fear it's too late. It will definitely be a different generation than ours as we are winding down. I believe in reincarnation, so perhaps one of our generation will come back with the answers. We are all so tied together with each other and with our planet and so many people refuse to listen to the call.

I have a t-shirt that says "Practice Radical Empathy". If only everyone could actually walk a mile in each other's shoes.

I believe in reincarnation too, and truly hope that folks will be kinder to our planet when we return.

I remember when I was a little girl, My mom took me to the store and turned in her hard-earned full S&H green stamps books to purchase a doll for me. 🥰
