Seams Part 1
This morning I look at the seams of the flannel shirt I am about to put on and wonder…
Why do seams face us and not the outside of the garment?
Seams, if not carefully sewn and trimmed, can be ragged. I have a few shirts that I love the look of but each time I wear wish that I hadn’t because of a scratchy seam or tag…or both. Of course, I could take the time and fix that scratch, but most often I just try to ignore it. This is a probably a metaphor for something like thoughtless words I wish I could take back, or rash decisions made without enough consideration.
Today, my smooth seams are facing me. If this is wrong side out, will it matter much? Probably not.
Harder to fix the seams but when will everybody get on the tagless train? Seems it would be easy to do that!
