Thanks for the post. Brings to mind a favorite quote: "The generous may forget that they have given, but the grateful will not forget that they received." Sometimes a smile or a helping hand can turn someone's day or more around. Kindness & generosity go hand in hand IMO.
I think this is the best chai recipe I've every seen, and I can't wait to try it. I'll either use some loose black tea (which will require straining) or some cardamon tea bags that I have (I love the taste of cardamon). I don't care for coffee and only drink tea, hot and cold. Some simple suggestions for kindness: when you go through a public door always look behind you to see if you need to hold the door for the next person; if someone provided a good service be certain to not only compliment them, but also let their supervisor know; let someone merge into traffic ahead of you. I also give a few dollars when I see someone with a sign asking for help. I'd stopped carrying cash a while ago but now I carry some since there are people who need direct help. Maybe it's a scam, but what if it isn't.
Yes! These are wonderful ways of practicing kindness. I once emptied my whole wallet to some folks who gave me a possible scam story but, as you say, "what if it isn't".
