Substack App for Phone

I think of Substack as a way to create community and after two years I continue to enjoy being here and the connections we have made. But, I really don’t want to clog up your email InBox so I want to make sure you know about the Substack app where you can receive my newsletter editions. It can be download right onto your phone, then you log in with your user name and password, and chose to receive the newsletters there (that’s what I do), or to receive them by both email and in the app. Below is the handy dandy link to download the app.

I love today’s entry.

“Refrain from jumping to conclusions today.”

I know there are times when I jump only to find myself way off base.

Recipes for October

Chai, Apples, and Tomatoes

This month I’ll be sharing my favorite Chai Tea recipes and the ways I use them in my cooking and baking.

As Apple season is upon us, I’ll be sharing a few recipes that use them. To get started, here is a link to a newsletter from 2021 with information about apple varieties. You may find it useful as you visit a local farmstand or country store.

Green Tomato Pie

As some may have some tomatoes that haven’t rippened up, I’ve just unlocked the Green Tomato Pie recipe for both paid and free subscribers. I know pie with green tomatoes sounds kinda odd, but it is wonderful and I encourage you to give it a try. When I shared the pie with friends, they were gobsmaked to learn it was not apples they were eating but green tomatoes. They even asked for seconds!
