#14: And the winner is...
After writing #9 and reading all your suggestions (thank you!), I have been thinking a lot about what to change the name of the newsletter to or if to change it at all. You gave me so many to think about, like Katydid (or maybe she didn’t), Lady Chatterley’s Musing's (I do love to chat over scones and coffee), Kate’s Pie Planet (in a galaxy far far away), Kate’s Kitchen Window (I really would love to someday have a greenhouse window over my sink), PieCastic (should I add piecaster to my skillset?), and in the middle of the night I came up with Kate’s Half Baked Thoughts as that’s what my ramblings feel like much of the time. Can you imagine that clue on Jeopardy? I’ll take 3.14 for $600.
At the end of this process, I have decided to keep it simple so it will stay as Kate McDermott’s Newsletter. You’ll know it’s me because it’ll have my name right there when it drops in your Inbox.
Oh and today, August 24th is National Peach Pie Day. Did I make one? Is that even a question?

Good idea!
I love everything about this, from the "new" title (I do love to see your name come up in my inbox) to the photo of your "work station" with the music photo, and "I bake to Brahms." It reminded at once of the Fawlty Towers episode when Sybil is chastising Basil (okay - I see I'll have to narrow that down a bit) She has been going on about putting the picture up, making the menus for the lunch that day, and all he really wants to do is have a cup of tea, a cigarette and to listen to his music in peace. She's off to play golf, and as she leaves she tosses off "and turn off that racket." Well, that is a bit too far to push Basil, and he lumbers up out of his chair in the back office, and comes to the desk to yell at Sybil. "Racket?!? That's Brahms' Third Racket!!!!!"
