#178: A Visit from My Cousins
A visit from my cousins for me means stories, sightseeing, and recipes for cornbread, vinaigrette, and a panzanella salad.
Hello My Dear Friends,
This week I’m enjoying a visit with my girl cousins who I haven’t seen for ages. We all grew up in Santa Barbara but think that the last time we were all together may have been as far back as the late 60s or early 70s. Time is precious and we are having a great time sharing family stories, some which I knew but many I did not. I’m showing them around the beautiful area where I live, too. We have been out to the Hoh Rain Forest in Olympic National Park, had a picnic lunch while watching a herd of Roosevelt elk, and visited Lake Crescent Lodge. Next will be a lavender farm or two in Sequim plus a visit to the Dungeness Spit. When we get home I’ll be making this salad. Enjoy the recipes and I’ll see you next week!
